With the installation of 168.00 kWp solar panels in our container yard, we estimate to avoid the emission of 53.64 tons of CO2eq per year.
This is equivalent to planting 265 trees annually. We are the only yard in Latin America with solar panels of these dimensions.
We work as a team to comply with the requirements established for ISO 14064-1 certification, which include the quantification and reporting of the GHG inventory, as well as the implementation of policies and action plans to reduce and offset Co2 emissions.
We are certified in Carbon Footprint Measurement, Quantification Stage, awarded by SGS and endorsed by the Ecuadorian Accreditation System and the Ministry of Environment.
This certification, part of the Ecuador Carbon Zero Program, demonstrates our commitment to sustainability by measuring the environmental impact of our operations.

Established in 2025, the Sustainability Committee is composed of leaders from key areas across the organization’s C-Level, represented by the Executive President, together with directors and managers from Legal, Commercial, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Environment.
The committee meets periodically and its mission is to guide, oversee, and accelerate the implementation of our sustainability strategy. Its multidisciplinary composition ensures a comprehensive and cross-functional vision for the Group, aligning business objectives with social and environmental impact.
Dual Education is a German-origin study methodology, where students receive theoretical training within an educational institution and practical learning within a company.
For over 20 years, our Group has been an active participant in Ecuadorian education through Dual Education.
We maintain agreements with institutions such as
providing young people with study and employment opportunities aligned with Sustainable Development
Goals 4 and 8.
The launch of the Ubits platform was designed to provide all our employees with the opportunity to develop and grow professionally.
Through a range of activities and resources, we seek to strengthen their skills and knowledge, promoting an environment of continuous learning and ongoing improvement.
Our goal is to equip our team with the necessary tools to reach their full potential, supporting their personal and professional success within the company.
Fundación Junto con los Niños y las Niñas, JUCONI, is a non-profit NGO whose purpose is to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of children and their families, contributing to the full exercise of their rights.
Through this program, we provide support to children living in contexts of extreme violence through financial assistance, psychological and educational intervention, helping them break the cycle of violence and child labor.
We currently sponsor 51 children, reaffirming our commitment to Ecuador’s future and to Juconi’s mission of creating a safe and positive environment where the most vulnerable can access new opportunities.
We promote a workplace culture based on respect, equity, and the comprehensive well-being of our employees.
We foster internal training on gender equality and, through the Sustainability Committee, we are assessing our alignment with women’s empowerment initiatives such as the WEPs.
In addition, we have a Social Assistance Fund and a workplace well-being program that includes psychological support, social assistance, workplace climate initiatives, and psychosocial risk prevention.
Since late 2025, we have been implementing an internal training program on Gender Equality at Grupo Transoceánica, delivered in person in Guayaquil and virtually nationwide, with synchronous participation from our employees.
This process addressed six key areas:
We believe that building a more inclusive environment starts with reviewing our perceptions, understanding our responsibilities, and acting with respect in our day-to-day interactions. Through these training sessions, we strengthen an organizational culture focused on gender equality and on creating safer, more equitable, and more conscious workplaces.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are founding partners of H2 Ecuador, an association officially established in February 2023 to promote the development of green hydrogen in the country.
This initiative brings together 11 founding partners and seeks to strengthen a national ecosystem around renewable energy, promoting knowledge, collaboration, and new opportunities for Ecuador’s energy transition.
As part of our commitment to more efficient and sustainable management, we installed 300 solar panels at our container depot.
This photovoltaic plant allows us to cover approximately 15% of our energy demand during operating hours, from 08:00 to 18:00, contributing to a reduction in conventional electricity consumption and supporting our progress toward operations with a lower environmental impact.
At Grupo Transoceánica, we view sustainability as an integral part of our business and operational management. Under this vision, we are advancing in the quantification of our Carbon Footprint, corresponding to the Quantification Stage on our path toward Carbon Neutrality.
This process is aligned with the Ecuador Carbon Zero Program — PECC, promoted by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition — MAATE, as a public policy tool designed to promote more eco-efficient industries and services, with lower emissions and a stronger commitment to climate action.
We currently hold the international GHG verification certification under ISO 14064-1, using 2022 as our baseline year. In addition, we are carrying out the 2024 quantification process, which will allow us to compare results and move forward to the next stage: reduction.
We complement this management with BASC Certification in Transoceánica Logistics, Transoceánica, Holtrans, and Transpoint, strengthening security, traceability, and trust across our processes to facilitate international trade.
Each step forward reflects the joint effort of our teams and consolidates our commitment to more responsible, secure, and sustainable logistics.
Since 2022, as members of the Ecuadorian-German Chamber of Industries and Commerce, we have participated in environmental initiatives promoted by the AHK, focused on reforestation with native tree species in forests in Guayaquil and Quito.
Through these actions, we strengthen our commitment to sustainability, contributing to the restoration of local ecosystems and promoting an active environmental culture within our business management.
The Tropical Dry Forest is critically endangered due to land-use change, mining, urban growth, and other factors. In Ecuador, less than 2% of the Tropical Dry Forest remains.
As part of our environmental commitment, we launched a natural restoration project for 6,000 square meters of Tropical Dry Forest located next to our container depot, through the planting of a Native Garden of Pollinator Species.
The planting of native tree, shrub, and low-growing species will have a highly positive impact, supporting the restoration of this coastal ecosystem. This space, full of life and color, symbolizes our commitment to the environment and biodiversity.
Together, we make a difference and help preserve the balance of our ecosystem.
Every year, through Aerosan, we carry out the “Bottle of Love” campaign, in which our employees participate by collecting plastic bottles over a defined period.
Through this initiative, we foster environmental awareness and promote small actions that generate a positive impact.
